The most commonly used languages are Latin, Spanish, Italian, French, and even old English. In addition to the typical romantic sayings or lines of poetry, popular inscriptions for promise rings are religious or inspirational sayings. In many cases, they can simply be a form of endearment unique to the couple concerned.
